No plans, no rules. Just vibes. The kind of night that only hits like this when you’re with someone who makes everything feel electric. Every turn’s a surprise, every stop’s a story in the making.

You hit a gas station at midnight, sharing snacks like it’s gourmet. Flying through quiet streets, laughing like kids. A wrong turn drops you at some random neon bar, and they drag you straight to the dance floor like you’ve been going there forever.

You’ve never felt more alive. More in tune. More locked into a moment that might not last forever but still feels like everything.

Flip & I produced this record with Niall (session bassist) while David and Tashanee (session songwriter) worked on the lyrics and melodies together. After Flip & I finished a simple version of the production to write to, we helped David and Tashanee finish the song. David had this really “OooOooooOoooo” melody that he tried in the intro but we decided to move it to the chorus cause of how catchy it was.

We then came up with the Got Me Like chorus tagline. Huge shout out to Flip for the hook melody on this song. Once we got the chorus melody, the verses came together quickly as David & Tashanee write pretty fast. During the next session we wrote the bridge and tracked all of David’s vocals before I finished the production.
