DREAMWRLD was the first time we collaborated with other songwriters and producers specifically for our band. Typically we were always writing and producing songs for others and worked on No Fltr by ourselves.
Everything changed when we started hanging out with our friend Niall, an amazing bass player, songwriter, and human who started introducing us to a bunch of writers and producers on Staten Island.
Niall introduced us to an amazing producer (and now friend) ‘Flip’ who we worked on 3 records with from this EP:

Flip also brought in his friend Glaze (a dope producer) and Tashanee (amazing artist songwriter) to work on these records with us.
Without our collaborators, we wouldn’t have been able to make these records. They deserve the hugest shout out we could give them.

We finished this EP January of 2025. I Want You & Wide Awake were the last records we worked on. All the records mixed and mastered March of 2025.
This EP was also the first time we booked a studio and recorded live drums for any of our records (I Want You & Wide Awake).

During the time the songs were getting mixed and mastered, we worked on coming up with the visual mood and aesthetic for the whole project. We chose a 70’s retro aesthetic because DREAMWRLD is all about building a new reality and slipping into something that feels familiar yet surreal.
Though we’ve never lived through the 70’s, the era carries a warm, cinematic nostalgia that we were drawn to through pop culture, movies, and stories.
That’s exactly what DREAMWRLD is: a place that feels like a memory, even if you’ve never been there before.
The retro tones, film textures, and dreamy color palettes mirror the EP’s themes of romanticizing the past, longing for simpler moments, and searching for magic in the mundane.
Dave talks about this a lot in our journals: how we hold onto old versions of ourselves, old loves, old dreams.

Our friends, Noel and Moe, were super helpful in creating the vibe for the EP’s wardrobe. They took us shopping all over New York City and New Jersey to help us piece together a wardrobe that looked and felt exactly like the music!
They also hooked us up with amazing photos and content for our song, I Want You!
