Nobody's heard this one till today…
Hey friend!
It's Dave. Got something for y'all this week.
Last week I told you about Vibrant fizzling out right around when I met Hunter. Well, I ended up digging thru the hard drive again and found one of the first demos Hunter & I ever made together. It's called Had Me At Hello, and as of today it's up on the journal page for you to listen to.
Quick backstory:
This was one of the first well produced demos we made when we started working together. Neither of us had any idea what we were doing 😂 but we had a lot of fun writing this one and just learning about songwriting and production structure. Looking back at it now, a lot of my earlier songwriting was written from a female perspective almost, and you can definitely hear it on this one.

It's rough in places and we ended up leaving it that way. Kinda like hearing where we started.
Go listen and hit reply to tell me what you think. And if you still want ‘Rooftops’ and ‘The Great Escape’ (the old song demos from Vibrant, my old pop punk band), you can still reply to last week's email and I'll send them over 😅
As always, thank you so much for being here. Let me know how you're doing.
- Dave
PS: Part 4 is next Tuesday. The first day Hunter & I ever wrote together. Eight hours, one verse, one chorus, two splitting headaches 😂
